Nifty holds 12,200; Auto, CGS stocks support

Domestic bourses continued to trade in green during the morning trade helped by buying in Bajaj Auto, UltraTech Cement , Asian Paints, Hero MotoCorp and State Bank of India among others.

Yes Bank share price continued its upward journey on the second day with a gain of 8 percent intraday on February 14 as company received non-binding expressions of interest from several prominent investors. In a BSE filing on February 12, the bank said J.C. Flowers & Co. LLC, Tilden Park Capital Management LP, OHA (UK) LLP (part of Oak Hill Advisors), Silver Point Capital are among the firms that have shown interest in the lender.

Meanwhile, Nestle India share price touched 52-week high of Rs 16,753.45, rising 2 percent on February 14 after company’s Q4 net profit jumped 38.4 percent to Rs 473 crore against Rs 341.8 crore.

At 10:35 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 41561.97 up by 102.18 points or by 0.25 % and then NSE Nifty was at 12207.75 up by 33.1 points or by 0.27 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 41702.36 and intraday low of 41510.19 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 12246.7 and intraday low of 12190.15

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 3201.85,+2.11%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (Rs. 4530.60,+1.75%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 1895.35,+1.14%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2436.00,+1.12%), State Bank of India (Rs. 331.05,+1.10%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (Rs. 104.40,-0.90%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 530.00,-0.61%), ITC Ltd. (Rs. 210.70,-0.59%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1224.15,-0.49%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1467.25,-0.45%), among others.

Among the sectors, Auto index was at 17919.14 up by 118.64 points or by 0.67%. Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 175.00,+3.28%), Bharat Forge Ltd. (Rs. 493.30,+2.20%), Bajaj Auto Ltd. (Rs. 3199.90,+2.05%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 7077.30,+1.09%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (Rs. 2434.95,+1.08%),.

The Market breadth, indicating the overall strength of the market, was weak. On BSE out of total shares traded 2067 , shares advanced were 1061 while 899 shares declined and 107 were unchanged.
