Pledge/Unpledge Mechanism in Adroit

Shares as Collateral/Pledge

Unlock the value of your stocks– use the Shares as Collateral/Pledge option and seize every trading opportunity. Shares as Collateral/Pledge is a facility which allows you to create a trading limit by holding your existing stocks in the Demat account for trading in e-margin or Future and Options segment.

If you see a trading opportunity in stocks in the F&O segment and you don't have the funds to place the order, you can simply create a limit by using Shares as Collateral/Pledge to trade. Then you can bring in the funds by T+1 day.

 

Steps to initiate Collateral/Pledge request:

Pledging of stocks is available on our digital platform. Follow these simple steps that tells you how to use our web-portal to initiate a pledge:

To access the margin pledge /unpledge portal, click on https://www.adroitfinancial.com/ >> click on Backoffice button. It will redirect you to https://www.adroitfinancial.com/back-office

Click onto Margin pledge request from back office tab in our website with Type (Branch/client), Client code and PAN number.

Once inside the Dashboard, click on the Pledge request (for pledge the shares) & Pledge Release (for unpledged the shares). You will be presented with a set of boxes.

Select Client, enter DP details, Segment and then click on View. Pledge request page will be presented on your screen.

Enter the quantity from the stock that need to Pledged and click on submit pledge request. That’s it, your request for pledging will be placed with Adroit.

 

What’s next (after I initiate the collateral/pledge request on our platform)?

1)    NSDL / CDSL will send you a link on the mobile number/e-mail id that is registered with your demat account

2)    Click the link to complete the authentication process by entering your PAN number or Demat account number

3)    Verify the details available on the link and click on generate OTP (Please note – NSDL demat account holders should keep “All Segment” selected, as displayed by NSDL as default).

4)    You will now get an OTP on your mobile/e-mail id as is registered in your demat a/c

5)    Authenticate your request on NSDL / CSDL platform with your OTP

6)    Your limit will be enabled within couple of hours or next day.
